On Friday at adidas Track Nationals, the 14-year-old eighth-grader from Chesapeake, Virginia and 757 Track Club produced a personal- and career-best 400m time of 48.81, which is just a shade faster than his previous top mark of 49.21. He also ran 50.00 in February.
That former time was the fastest ever by an eighth-grader indoors. It’s also among the top 50 performances nationally in the U.S. this year.
