So all runners of this caliber are something special ,but I've been hearing that like in long distance running Nike has an unclear advantage do to some energy transfer thing in their shoes design and I feel that's ok, but you you think that's why we are seeing so many new records in so little time?
i don't understand though why one would slow down in a 100 m sprint in a final race… that's just idiotic. you would at least wanna take that opportunity to take on the record
Nice video and good work you are doing. However, you forgot that Tyson gay ran 19.41 seconds which would be the 5th fastest time all time if I am not mistaken. It was on a straightaway track, but it was a 19.41 he ran (believe it was in 2010)
Never underestimate the pressure of global level races – false start, tensed reaction to the gun, leaning to early, injury,… He's 18 and does not have that much experience. I really hope he blows our T&F minds but there's other star studded athletes with more experience lining up. I have no clue who's winning because it feels like everybody can hahaha I will just enjoy and watch when you upload 😉
I would say this is the 2nd greatest Junior World Record of all time. The greatest belongs to Nijel Amos in 2012 when he demolished the Junior World Record for the 800m. 2nd only to David Rudisha!
The younger sprint athletes are special and the future. Yet; Pressure, competition, conditioning thru rounds, weather and experience always play their part in notable Races. That's why we watch and enjoy sports. Good Luck to all the competition.
Letsile runs a 9.90 and Knighton runs 9.93. Neither can hang with the top 5 100m sprinters yet, but they will soon. Can’t wait to see Knighton’s 200m at the worlds. Both these kids have ridiculous potential, so happy for the rivalry.
De Grasse or however you spell it will win through 100. He delivers in big moments but we'll see everyone has a theory. Knighton will take the 200. He's still pretty immature to be performing at the 100 meter distance imo.

Is it just me or does anyone else get pissed when they see an especially gifted athlete, or any athlete, not to give 100% effort?

knighton can clearly run under 10, you can't run 19.49 if you can't run at least under 9.9 the 100.
Tebogo almost looked like Deion Sanders when he did the hands-up prance into the end zone sometimes…after burning everyone and gapping them.
