Peyton Bair, a freshman from Idaho, will be competing in the decathlon for the Bulldogs. The 10 events will be spread out over the first two days of the competition, with five events being held each day. Bair will kick things off on day one with the 100m before taking on three field events (long jump, shot put, and high jump) before closing out the day with the 400m. The final day of the decathlon will feature the 110m hurdles, , pole vault, javelin and 1500m run. Bair entered the championship event with the 10th best point total in the country, 7903 points, that he earned at the SEC Championship. Bair is one of just three freshmen who earned a spot in the finals and the only freshman in the top 10.

A javelin national champion will be crowned on Wednesday, and the Bulldogs have two competing for the title. Tyriq Horsford and Rémi Rougetet take the field at approximately 5:30 p.m., competing in the first two flights.

Cameron Crump, a senior in his final event wearing the Maroon and White, will look to build upon his runner-up finish at the Indoor National Championships back in March. Crump finished third in the event at the NCAA East Prelims with a jump of 7.77m. He needed just one jump to lock in his spot in the national championship event. The long jump will happen under the lights with its 8 p.m. start time.

There will be a pair of events for the Bulldogs on Wednesday. Navasky Anderson will be competing in the 800m, which starts at 8:14 p.m., while the 4x400m relay team of Anthony Brodie, Sema’J Daniels, Lee Eppie, Doval Simmonds will compete in the final event of day one at 9:48 p.m. The top nine finishers, two in each heat plus the next three fastest times, will advance to Saturday’s championship races.

Thursday will feature the women’s first day of competition, with two Bulldogs competing. Asia Poe will compete in the long jump, and Kamaya Debose-Epps will compete in the 100m and 200m races. Poe earned her spot in the finals after tying her season best at the NCAA East Prelims with a jump of 6.25m. Debose-Epps is the only Bulldog to qualify for two events at the NCAA Championships. She was incredible, setting a school record in the 100m (11.10) and narrowly missing a school record in the 200m. Debose-Epps will look to advance to Saturday’s finals in both events.

The final competitor for the Bulldogs will be Tony Jones, who will be competing in the high jump. Jones, a grad transfer in his only year wearing the Maroon and White, qualified for the NCAA Championships after a first-place finish with his jump height of 2.14m. On the year, Jones earned an outdoor season best of 2.19m at the Tom Jones Memorial in Gainesville, Fla.
