whew what a meet! Faith's run was the highlight by far…wow and the way she got the record by throwing down that insane last 400m split. I have watched it over and over…I get chills when she hits the jets to kick in the last 400m…the whole stadium was going insane. Are you kidding me. She ran faster than the mens 1500m gold winning time of 3:50 in 2016. That is how insane her time is! And she didnt just beat the WR…she crushed it!

Apart from the Women's 1500m and 400mh, I considered it a poor event.
They need to attract better sponsors. Athletics must be the only sport where prize money has gone backwards. Most athletes only sustain themselves from sponsorship contracts or appearance money. The days when people like Linford Christie or Merlene Ottey would earn between $50k and $100k for winning a Grand Prix race during the 90s have long gone.
How do they expect today's prize money ($5000 – $10,000) to pay for flights and accommodation for the athlete and their coach, plus any ongoing physiotherapy. That is probably why many Transatlantic athletes are staying at home.
