They all run waaay faster than me
Without wishing to be a killjoy, the world record go reset in Florence with week. The first 10 came in around 13 seconds fasher than this heat, and Kenyan Faith Kipyegon ran 3:49.11. So Katelyn needs to move up in class soon and test herself against the best. Next season’s European Diamond League i would suggest. Not sure what the NCAA rules are about that and amateur status. She’s got lovely, economical gait which doesn’t waste a lot of energy or momentum, so if she can continue to build endurance I think the speed/kick is already there at the 800, and she could fulfil her promise.

Technically true but somewhat misleading when the thumbnail says she went from last to first. She was only in last place during maybe the first 100M.
That was a huge shift on speed on the last 70m.
