Men's triple jump – 2023 NCAA indoor track and field championships

Arkansas freshman Jaydon Hibbert set the collegiate record in triple jump on his first attempt, jumping 17.54m to win the title at the 2023 NCAA indoor track and field championships.
he just jumped a foot more on may 13 2023.
The outdoor U20 record is 17.50m so that even further than the outdoor U20 mark!!!
That is the U20 record 17.54m the old U20 record was 17.20m
only 12 strides in the runup, that's incredible, there is room for improvement with more strides therefore more speed
Another thing to consider is that Hibbert is only using a 12 step approach, whereas Taylor and Edwards used an 18 step approach. If Hibbert switches to a longer approach he can carry way more speed into his take off. If he's able to control that speed…look out.
Jordan Diaz ,Hibbert and 3rd ???
Wow Congrats Jaydon🎉🎉🎉ñ
Right after winning the world juniors🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Jaydon Hibbert is going to break the senior world record at the Paris Olympics or the Japan world champs. I'd be willing to stake my reputation on that. He really is a prodigy, and to think he decided himself that he wanted to do this over sprinting. Also, can world athletics disallow collegiate meets that use imperial units and force them to enter the 21st century?
He's still a U20 next year, so he's only gonna stretch it.
Amazing!! he just turned 18!!
🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
Wow, no words. Just a freshman congrats Jaydon
Watching American athletics coverage is impossible with the endless use of imperial measurements!
Nahhh that boy different
Just one jump? 😑
Damn his phrases are scary! He keeps it up, he could be the next great! 🔥
He is special. Even greater things ahead for him. Congrats, Jaydon!
On a 12 step approach…
