The Athletics Department at Southwestern is seeking qualified individuals for the position of Graduate Assistant for the Men’s and Women’s Track & programs. Emphasis on coaching the jumps or sprinting events.

Position Description Duties for position include assisting the head in all aspects of the program (practices, matches, recruiting, conditioning, overseeing academics, etc.). Collegiate playing and/or coaching experience preferred. Recruiting experience encouraged but not required. Good character & communication skills, self-motivation, and leadership skills are essential. Position compensated with graduate studies, housing, coaching & meal stipend.

Position begins August 1, 2023


  • Bachelor’s degree and admission into a Southwestern College graduate program
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Weekend and evening hours required
  • Driver’s license required (personal vehicle preferred)


Stipend: $5,000/year

Tuition: Full tuition waiver

Housing: On campus apartment plus flex spending for on campus meals
