Keith Carter: Ole Miss ‘primed and ready’ to be a major CFB player for years to come

In this edition of The Flagship, Ben Garrett (OMSpirit.com/On3) is joined by Ole Miss athletics director Keith Carter to cover a wide range of topics, including the future of Rebel football under Lane Kiffin.

The No. 10 Rebels (8-1, 5-1 SEC) take on top-ranked Georgia (9-0, 6-0) in Athens on Saturday at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN. But regardless of the outcome, the program is, inarguably, in one of its strongest positions in years, if not ever, and fourth-year head coach Lane Kiffin is primarily responsible.

The coaching carousel typically begins turning around this time every year, too. But Carter doesn’t expect much, if any, Kiffin drama this time around.

Ole Miss is too busy ascending to new heights.
