ATLANTA, GA – Canada’s Audrey Leduc continued her impressive season in 2024 after recording another national record at the 2024 Edwin Moses Classics in Atlanta on Friday, May 31.
A little over a month after setting the Canadian national record in the 100m with 10.96 seconds at a meeting in Baton Rouge, Leduc clocked 22.36 seconds (1.1 m/s) to establish another national record, this time in the 200m, lowering Crystal Emmanuel’s previous record by 0.14 seconds, set in 2017.
In her post-race interview, Leduc admitted that her focus was on breaking the national record, but she was pleased with the achievement.
“No, it was not (a target of mine),” she said. “But I am happy that I did it. I am just super happy with the race. It felt good.”
“I have a lot of meets coming up, so (I am) preparing for the meets and just be ready,” she added.
