CLEVELAND, Ohio – A total of 14 Ball State track and field athletes were placed on the 2024 Women’s Indoor Track and Field Academic All-MAC Team.
Among the 14 athletes, Jenelle Rogers, Jennah Rogers and Alexis Thigpen are receiving their third Indoor Academic All-MAC honor.
Sarah Mahnensmith and Carly Spletzer are collecting their second Academic All-MAC honor of the academic year, both being named to the 2023 Cross Country Academic All-MAC team. This is Mahnensmith’s second year receiving this honor in both cross country and track and field.
Ball State also had four other athletes receiving their second Indoor Academic All-MAC honor including, Mckenna Cinotte, Makensie Kramer, Jenna Oriani and Emma Potter.
Five Cardinals are receiving their first Academic All-MAC honors, including Taylor Hickman, Brenna Lehrke, Alana Springer, Allison Valladay and Leila Williams-Molitor.
In the Mid-American Conference, a total of 136 student-athletes were named to this year’s squad. The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
