PHILADELPHIA – Saint Joseph’s Director of Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track and Field Mike Glavin has announced the program’s outdoor track and field schedule for the 2024 campaign.
St Joe’s will be in action in eight regular season meets, highlighted by the Penn Relays, followed by the Atlantic 10 Championships in Fairfax, Va. Qualified performances and times during the season will then move on to compete at the IC4A/ECAC Championships in a return to Fairfax, while the NCAA East Prelims are being held in Lexington, Ky.
The Hawks begin the outdoor season with a quick trip in the city with the Penn Challenge on March 23 before another short trip to the Danny Curran Invitational hosted by Widener University on March 29-30. A select group of Hawks will split to take part in the Sam Howell Invitational at Princeton on March 30.
Opening April, St. Joe’s travels to Fairfax for the first of three visits as George Mason hosts the Dalton Ebanks Invitational on April 5-6. The following week, the Hawks return to Princeton as the whole team is set to take part in the Larry Ellis Invitational on April 12-13. Yet another return trip awaits, the Hawks headed back to Chester on April 19-20 to challenge in the Widener Invitational.
The Penn Relays cap off the final week of the regular season, taking part over three days from April 25-27 at Franklin Field in Philadelphia. Select Hawks will also take part in the Lehigh Covert Classic on April 27.
Saint Joseph’s looks to challenge in the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championships (May 4-5), the second trip of the season to Fairfax as George Mason plays host in back-to-back weeks as the Hawks look to challenge with the best of the conference. A return trip a week later sets the stage for the IC4A/ECAC Championships on May 11-12.
The NCAA East Prelims are set for May 22-25 in Lexington, Ky. with advancing individuals qualifying for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon from June 5-8.
