College Track and Field: Lincoln at Dewey Allgood Invitational


ROLLA — The Lincoln men’s and women’s track and field teams combined to win five events Saturday during the Dewey Allgood Invitational at Missouri S&T.

Lincoln swept the meet titles in the . Annalisa Barclay won the women’s event by nearly three full feet with a distance of 40 feet, 8¼ inches, while Malik Drummond was first on the men’s side with a distance of 47-0¾. His teammate, Melon Lowenfield, was runner-up at 45-9¼.

Lowenfield finished first in the men’s long with a leap of 24-0¼ for the Blue Tigers and Dejone Raymond finished in a three-way tie for first place in the high , clearing 6-5.

Lincoln’s lone win on the track came from Abigail Brooks, who placed first in the women’s 400-meter dash with a time of 58.13 seconds.

In the women’s high , Lincoln’s Ellis Cohen was runner-up with a height of 5-2¼ and Nehlia Mills finished in a three-way tie for third place at 5-0¼.

Also finishing in third place at the meet for Lincoln were Antwaan Walker in the men’s 200-meter dash (22.25 seconds), Dimetri Browne in the men’s long jump (22-1) and Doreen Onchangu in the women’s 800-meter run (2:20.43) and the 1,500-meter run (4:54.37).

Taking fourth place for the Blue Tigers were Ray-Donna Lee in the women’s 100-meter (17.05 seconds) and Joshua Dottin in both the men’s 110-meter (14.93 seconds) and the 400-meter (57.25 seconds).

Rounding out Lincoln’s top-eight finishers at the meet were Walker, who took sixth place in the men’s 100-meter dash in 10.92 seconds, and Cohen, who placed eighth in the women’s 200 in 27.42 seconds.

Missouri S&T sophomore Levi Frisbie (Blair Oaks High School) led all area athletes at the Dewey Allgood Invitational, taking second place in the men’s 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:59.21, finishing less than two seconds behind McKendree’s Caleb Klein.

Columbia College freshman Caleigh Huot (Fatima High School) had four top-five finishes at the meet. She placed third in the women’s 200 (26.60 seconds) and fifth in the 100 (12.74 seconds).

Huot also ran on two teams for the Cougars. She was joined by junior Gracie Schultz (Belle High School) on the 4×100-meter , which finished second in 51.20 seconds, and she was joined by freshman Taylor Yoder (Blair Oaks High School) on the 4×400-meter , which was fifth in a time of 4:22.02.

In her other events, Schultz took seventh in the 100 hurdles (19.76 seconds), 10th in the 200 (27.93 seconds) and 11th in the long jump (15-5½). Yoder added a 10th-place time of 5:16.19 in the 1,500.

Westminster freshman Emma Braby (California High School) placed seventh in the women’s javelin (103-4), 10th in the shot put (31-11¼) and 13th in the discus (92-6).

Columbia College sophomore Baden Glass (Southern Boone High School) came in seventh place in the men’s high jump, clearing the bar at 5-8. He also placed 17th in the javelin with a throw of 91-4.

Columbia College freshman Griffin Booth (California High School) placed eighth in the men’s hammer throw with a toss of 144-7. Booth also took 14th in the shot put (38-5½) and 22nd in the discus (97-10).

Missouri S&T freshman Kyle Dickinson (South Callaway High School) finished ninth in the men’s discus (129-7) and 13th in the shot put (40-2).

Columbia College sophomore Tyler Hilgedick (Southern Boone High School) took ninth place in the men’s shot put (44-7) and 18th in the discus (114-9).

Columbia College freshman Marc White (Southern Boone High School) came in 11th place in the men’s long jump with a leap of 19-1¼.

Missouri-St. Louis freshman Ansley Casey (Blair Oaks High School) was 14th in the women’s 1,500 with a time of 5:29.16.

Columbia College junior Grayson Knernschield (Helias High School) finished 15th in the men’s 800 (2:05.95) and 19th in the 1,500 (4:17.32).

Missouri S&T sophomore Simon Hartman (Russellville High School) placed 16th in the men’s 800 with a time of 2:06.88.
