Deuces were wild for Martin, who crossed the finish line in 22.22 seconds. He also was second in the 110 hurdles (14.99) and fourth in the 100 (11.12).

Isaiah Johnson of Great Crossing took third over Martin by a nose with a scorching time of 11.02 in the 100.

Other leading boys for the Warhawks were Jacob Silver, who was second with a pole vault of 11-7, and Jacob Stokesberry, fifth in triple jump and the first-ever GC athlete to reach 40 feet.

Bryce Alan Thornsbury and Claire Inabinet led the local girls’ contingent, scoring second for Scott County in the 400 (Inabinet, 59.86) and 800 (Thornsbury, school record 2:20.63).

Inabinet also picked up a point in the 800, joining Jaiden Lazarin (1,600 and 3,200) and Jala Trent (long and triple jumps) as Lady Cards to score in multiple individual disciplines.
