Hart and Richwine Give It Their All at NCAA Championships


VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – For the second day in a row two Dickinson indoor and field athletes took to the Virginia Beach Sports Center for the NCAA DIII Indoor and Field National as senior Ethan Hart and sophomore Trevor Richwine did battle on Saturday.

The day began with Hart venturing over to the throwing area to compete in the 20 competitor shot put event. After a fault on his first throw the senior posted a heave of 16.43m to earn himself a 13th-place finish.

Richwine rounded out the day, by trying to capture gold in the 800m. He sat back in fourth place after the first 200m with a time of 27.35, before slipping back to fifth through 400m (56.63). Following a 1:25.58 split with 600m in the rearview mirror, he righted the ship over the remaining 200m finishing in 1:52.59 for fifth.

Next on the Docket

Dickinson will now turn their attention to the outdoor season which will begin on Saturday, March 23rd at the Little Three hosted by Franklin & Marshall College.
