From a population of 1.4 billion, only 117 players qualified, and not even one third would win medals. Bharat is disappointing.
Seems this time we will have to remain happy with just one medal. Pathetic performance by the Indian athletes till now. Some did try but was not enough. India will remain only cricket playing nation forever, it seems, and the cricketers will make a lot of money from India and then leave the country and live some place else.
India as a nation is falling behind in a very important geopolitical aspect i.e. SPORTS.

Watching olympics and wondering why some of our athletes looks so unfit physically where as the others are so fit.
Being fit like neeraj chopra or virat kohli sharpens your reflection a lot. Brain is proven to respond faster.
Hopefully goverment will help them achieve there fitness goals.
