Ewing, NJ: The Ramapo College men’s outdoor track and field team competed at the TCNJ Invitational this afternoon hosted by the College of New Jersey.
Ryan Pena won the 1,500m race when he crossed the finish line in 4:07.67 while he finished 5th in the 800m run in 2:00.81. In the 400m dash, Logan Natale recorded a personal best time of 51.32 seconds and finished 3rd overall while Terrell Lockett recorded a season best time of 51.62 seconds for a 5th place finish. Mohamed Nidaazzi placed 3rd in the 5k with a season best of 15:55.61 while Ian McCauley placed 6th (16:23.11) and Brandon Meneses finished in 7th with a personal best of 16:34.61. Rounding out the top ten finishes in the race for Ramapo were Jason Mercado in 8th place (16:37.14), Julian Mignone in 9th place (16:39.73, personal best) and Andrew Taranta in 10th place (16:48.72, personal best). Brendan Shafferr clocked in at 11.88 seconds in the 100m timed final for a 4th place finish while Owen Usinowicz and Benjamin Zelasco went back-to-back in 7th and 8th place in the 110m hurdles with times of 17.39 seconds and 17.41 seconds. Lockett posted a time of 22.60 seconds in the 200m dash finishing 9th overall. George Losche (11th) and Matthew Suero (12th) finished in 1:01.32 and 1:01.48 respectively in the 400m hurdles. In the high jump, Nicolo Caminiti cleared 1.69m to finish 17th overall while Rajet Levister posted a personal best mark in the long jump in 5.20m and Jake Angco recorded a mark of 5.61m.
Brandon Balcacer competed at the Larry Ellis Invitational hosted by Princeton University. Balcacer recorded a time of 11.34 seconds in the 100m dash and 22.49 in the 200m dash.
Ramapo returns to action next weekend at the Coach P Invitational hosted by Moravian University.
