LEXINGTON, Ky. (WYMT) – The 1A & 2A KHSAA State Track & Field meet went down in Lexington on Thursday, May 30 and Friday, May 31.

1A

One Mountain team that collected multiple medals was Leslie County. The Lady Eagles team of Emily Roark, Hayley Smith, Eden Melton, and Iris Napier won the Girls’ 4×200 meter relay. The Leslie County girls track & field team also finished fourth overall as a team.

The Eagles also won the Girls’ 4×100 meter relay.

Williamsburg’s Nate Goodin won the Boys High Jump.

East Ridge’s Keagan Tucker won the Mixed Shot Put Unified. The Warriors also won the Mixed 2×50 meter relay unified.

Many other athletes and schools earned a medal at the state meet. Click here for a link to the results list.

Corbin won the Boys 4×800 meter relay. Connor Messer also won the Boys 800-meter run.

Letcher Central’s Brett Smith won the Boys 400-meter dash.
