Track Athlete of the Week
Zoe Rodi, SUNY Delhi
Sophomore | Sprinter | Pine Bush, New York
Delhi Sprinter Zoe Rodi ran a lifetime best of 26.17 to place second in the 200-meters at the Hamilton College Continental Invitational and move to number two in SUNY Delhi program history for the event. She also ran a leg on the winning mixed 4×400 meter relay with a split of 59.00 seconds. Rodi is currently ranked 6th in the Niagara Region in the 200-meter.
Field Athlete of the Week
Kitty Messina, SUNY Delhi
Senior | Thrower | Canandaigua, New York
Senior Kitty Messina broke the SUNY Delhi program record in the hammer throw with a new lifetime best of 42.52 meters over the weekend at the Hamilton College Continental Invitational. Messina currently holds the top spot in the NAC in hammer and is ranked 11th in the Niagara Region.
Rookie of the Week
Emma Burr, Thomas College
First Year | Multi | Pittsfield, Maine
Thomas’ Emma Burr competed in the Embry Riddle Running Elements Classic in Dayton Beach, Florida where she qualified for the DIII New England Regionals in the heptathlon and the 200-meter. In the heptathlon, Burr finished second overall in the event, setting a new school record earning 4239 points. While running the 200-meter heptathlon, Burr broke the school record with a time of 25.83. Her final record-breaking event was in the 800-meter heptathlon, as she finished with a time of 2:34.70. In the seven events throughout the heptathlon, Burr finished in the Top 5 in 6 of the 7 events.
