NBC announces broadcast schedule for U.S. Olympic Team track and field trials


The U.S. Olympic Team and fields trials return to Hayward Field in Eugene, and NBC plans extensive coverage of the events.

The network announced its coverage schedule of the trials ahead of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. The games are scheduled to take place July 26-Aug. 11.

NBCU will provide over 20 hours of & field qualifying, semifinals, and finals coverage over eight nights, including all finals in primetime on NBC. & field coverage begins on Friday, June 21, at 3:30 p.m. PT on USA Network and Peacock and continues at 6 p.m. PT on NBC and Peacock. Live coverage concludes on Sunday, June 30, at 4:30 p.m. PT on NBC with numerous final events.

The trials are expected to feature seven individual reigning world champions, including 100- and 200-meter world champion Noah Lyles, 100-meter world champion Sha’Carri Richardson, two-time reigning world and Olympic shot put champion and former Sam Barlow High School star Ryan Crouser.

A six-time world champion, Lyles is coming off a 2023 World Championship performance that saw him become the first athlete since Usain Boltto win the men’s 100- and 200-meters, along with the 4×100-meter relay. Richardson is looking to earn a spot on her first Olympic team. Crouser is aiming to become the first athlete to win three consecutive shot put gold medals.
