I hate how a lot of media tried to paint this as ceccon giving excuses for his "suboptimal" performance. He won the gold in the 100 back and had a great 100 free split on the relay. He missed the 200 back final but he wasn't a contender. The only real let down was the medley relay, which was a team effort.
