  1. Most remember Greg Louganis hitting his head on the board—no one said “embarrassing”. She is lucky.
This is tangent but it needs said:
I’m so tired of this pulpy pabulum programmed into the minds of millennials and younger—“my worth is not defined by one” mistake. This faux self-esteem political correctness of the 90’s meets subversive woke inanity of collectivist identity politics & victimhood is very macabre. And it’s distilled through deviant & cultish teachers onto students either broken homes or with helicopter parents. No one said her worth is determined by her mistake. This is deranged. Yet it’s part and parcel of the sick political religion insisting one’s worth is determined by the intersectional score card based on immutable characteristics and identity. Finally more and more people see the dark intent of this indoctrination — to subvert, Divide, demoralize and exacerbate pathology. The reasons are obvious to everyone unless you’ve been indoctrinated too. But maybe it needs explained.
I’m glad she’s ok and hope she dedicates herself to improving and beating the odds and all comers next time.

  2. Nothing embarrassing about what happened to her. She made a mistake and kept going. Something not everyone does. Good for her. Here's hoping she qualifies for the next Olympics and wins a medal. Something that will shut the naysayers up for sure.

  3. Her determination to keep diving until the end despite having no hope for getting a medal after the accident is admirable. That shows her class and spirit and inspire many people to keep fighting their own problems instead of quitting.

  4. What's so ironic about life is that if this had not happened to her millions of people around the world wouldn't have even noticed her or known her name now her profile is way bigger than it ever would have been and that is quite ironic the possibility of turning lemons into lemonade
