PREVIEW: Track and Field Tuned Up For Jonathan Tymann Invitational


WENHAM, Mass.– After an outstanding performance at the UMass Lowell Invitational the Hartford men’s and women’s team looks to continue their momentum on Saturday, April 6, at the Jonathan Tymann Invitational, hosted by Gordon College. The events are set to begin at 10 a.m. with the running events beginning at 10:15 a.m.

  • Last time out at UMass Lowell, the Hawks saw over 30+ top-five finishes, one school-record performance, and 11 first-place accolades.

  • Junior  Conor Convery has had a record-breaking start to his outdoor campaign, shattering his school-record mark in the hammer throw last weekend.

  • Convery extended his record from 50.97m to 52.55m.

  • Junior  Marlina Voker looks to continue her stellar season, as she enters the competition as the top seed in both the 100m and 200m dashes.

  • After earning the gold in the last time out, freshman Christopher Hergott is set to take flight this weekend as the top seed.

  • Hergott  is also entered in the 100m dash with a seed time of 11.20.

  • Graduate Hailey Marcello takes to the after taking home the gold in the 3000m steeplechase last time out.

  • Marcello enters the with a seed time of 2:20.00 and the 1500m with a seed time of 4:47.60
  • Senior Kyle Moser is set to compete in the shot put, seeded at a top mark of 15.06m.
  • Sophomore Yovanna Cruz looks to continue her momentum  in the shot put, entering the competition at a mark of 11.38m.
  • Freshman Avery Baker-Schlendering is set to compete in the high jump, entering the competition at a clearance of 1.68m.
  • Senior Robyn Krafft and junior Kayla Pelletier return to the after earning top-three finishes in their respective events at UMass Lowell.

  • Krafft finished atop the podium in the discus throw with a mark of 41.15m, while Pelletier took home the gold in the javelin with a mark of 40.54m.

  • Junior duo Kaden Leonard is set to compete in the 100m and 200m dash after finishing atop the podium in both events last weekend.

  • Leonard is seeded at times of 10.94 and 22.17.

  • Junior Brandon Edmund is set to make his outdoor debut in the 400m dash, with a top seed time of 48.64.
  • Junior Joseph Lothamer is set to make his outdoor debut in the pole vault, seeded at a clearance of 4.65m.
