Richwine Named Most Outstanding Performer as Devils Finish Sixth at CC Champs


ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Dickinson men’s track and team had an outstanding final day of the Centennial Conference Championship meet as they won three events to help improve from ninth to sixth at the end of the three-day meet on the campus of Muhlenberg College.

Sprints

Trevor Richwine captured gold for the 400m by besting the with a time of 48.27 to hold off Daniel Tabor of Ursinus mark of 48.30. With hurdles placed at the same distance James Masterson landed in eighth at 59.04.

Distance

Richwine nabbed his second gold medal of the day when he won the 800m by hitting the line in 1:55.72, while Jeremy Sallade finished off the -5 thanks to a 1:57.21.

Two Devils took part in the 1500m with Benjamin Moseman grabbing ninth at 4:05.12, followed by Nolan Meincke in 24th (4:16.64).

Five members of the Red and White were involved during the 5000m as Alexander Kane was the only DC athlete within the -10 claiming ninth (14:53.32). The trio of Matthew Dietrick, Nathan Cadwell and Mason Macek all earned -20 results taking 15th (15:20.03), 19th (15:24.90) and 20th (15:27.15). Romario Cruz completed the group with a 33rd-place result crossing the line at 16:00.19.

Relays

The 4x100m team of Ian Gormley, Matthew Greenley, Sean Harris and William O’Connor claimed eighth with a time of 45.40, while the 4x400m unit of Matthew Gareau, Masterson, Richwine and Sallade earned fourth at 3:24.08.



Three Devils finished inside the Top-10 of the as Ethan Hart claimed the gold by setting a new meet record with a toss of 16.88m, followed by Matthew Harvey in sixth place (13.25m) and Lamar Ludy in tenth (12.27m).

The duo of Hunter Omerzo and Jacob Choudhri nabbed 12th (41.29m) and 15th (35.66m) respectively.

At the jump pit, Choudhri landed in 12th for the triple jump by dropping in at 12.13m, while Evan Feldman seized 18th (11.08m).

Team Scores

With all 22 events scored Ursinus rallied back to claim the team title with 214 points, followed by Johns Hopkins (196.5), Muhlenberg (117.5), McDaniel (83), Haverford (78), Dickinson (59), Franklin & Marshall (47), Gettysburg (43) and Swarthmore (20).

On the Docket

The Red and White have ended their 2024 team season and will now look ahead to the 2024-2025 indoor season as well as the 2024 Outdoor Championships for qualified individuals.
