PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania track & field teams will host the Penn Invitational on Saturday at Franklin Field.
The nine-team field is filled out by a trio of city schools (La Salle, Temple, Villanova) and three schools who will cross the border into the city from New Jersey (Monmouth, Rider, Rutgers).
Cornell also will make the trip to Franklin Field, and the Quakers and Big Red are proud to host a group of competitors from University College Birmingham in England. The Birmingham contingent will spend the weekend with the Penn athletes and compete in Saturday’s meet as part of an international exchange program that saw Penn and Cornell in England last year to compete with Birmingham as well as Oxford and Cambridge.
