I had a feeling she would win. Don’t underestimate smaller women 🙂
Short people represent! Oh yeah! Just 'cause you're short, don't mean you come in last!
Mahala size means she has to move her legs twice as fast.
With people like her our nation is well defended! I wish Norris could have run this year. Wayment not only won it this year she set the college record. Norris could have run even faster.
She was in position the hole time and never made a mister.and she had alot more strides then the taller girls .that was a great race I'm happy she won earned every bit of that win .Courtney almost fell at the last water she looked overheated and tired .
Super Mahala 💪💪🔝
A question for someone from Oregon. You have this beautiful track and underground training facility now. But in the nearly two years it took to complete the project some new technology has entered many tracks, the "wave lights" built into the inside curb of the track. My question is "Will Oregon consider installing the feature on this beautiful facility"?
Let's goooooo Air Force!! Gj and thanks for your service.
First Falcon national tack and field champion since 1964!
Go Falcons! USAFA is at 6800 feet which does help. But it’s a very tough school for a D1 competitor. We should all feel good that Mahala Norris is a brand new second lieutenant in the US Air Force! Aim High (especially over steeplechase barriers)!
how do you shut off the stupid chattering woman, who spoils the enjoyment…….all the nonsense about BYU and they finish 4th !
I saw the BYU lady on the last water jump and felt that she could have been the top few if she crossed it properly. I went to her ig and wanted to see her thoughts on this and realised she got 4th at the trials, what a come back!
Wanita2 hebat baik hati luar biasa
Strongest, 💪👍👍
Gawd lady announcer is annoying!
It’s sad that MSM talks about race everyday and the unfortunate excuses ! The smallest woman with the biggest heart won ! Why, did she think about race, her size or her circumstances, NO ! She worked hard ! Come on, seriously !
She’s only 4’11” that’s incredible compare to the others and she came on top! Black Girl Magic!🔥🔥🔥
After watching the men's event I came here for any potential underwear issues, but sad to report… There were none.
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🇭🇹😁 Congratulations!!!!!
Yeah Norris hardly received a mention in the introductions and most of race!
Way to go Air Force!
When Oregon tried to pass and box out Norris…she was not having it!
Interesting coincidence here. Norris just graduated from the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. Rainsberger was a high school star and all-state runner from…. Colorado Springs.
The safety and stealth of the second and third lane, is better than the speed and efficiency of the first lane, sometimes.🤫
Announcers and coaches get this truth wrong a lot, by simply looking at distance traveled, when there is a lot more to it..
Congrats!
Who said running in the third lane was bad for you.
Yahooo, Mahala!!! ♥️🤍💙🔥🔥🔥
Amazing!!! Wow👏🏿👏🏿🔥
Amazing, gutty race by Norris. I showed this video to my daughters and they were stoked. Typically female steeple people are tall (top 3 US runners all time are in the 90th percentile for height). Great run for Rainsberger as well. Given her speed and height, this is probably her best event for making a run at the Olympics or world championships. I ran everything from 400m to the steeple and 5k in college, and the steeple is by far the most difficult event on the track.
"You're not a great hurdler, so let's put you in the steeple." WTF is this announcer on drugs?
OUTSTANDING effort by this young lady Norris! She has to be a foot shorter than the young lady from Washington!
Very happy that I could watch these on Youtube!
Kudos to her coaches who didn't dismiss this tiny girl thinking she couldn't handle the barriers. She ran a smart (albeit longer) race, always positioning herself out of trouble. Military guts and glory.
Norris! AFA Falcons!!
The recondite experience arespectively try because hail respectively work in a difficult plot. public, fearful fearless vase
Proud of you Mahala
Gutty performance Mahala. Congrats
Guts. Wow.
I think another interesting observation is that Mahala probably ran a longer race than anyone in the field. She took virtually every barrier and jump from the outside to stay clear and ran most of the race in the second lane. For her, it was almost a 3100m Steeplechase.
Fantastic race for Mahala! That burst at the end was epic!
Fantastik finish
That the announcers didn't even mention Mahala really until the last 600 meters is amazing. She had run back to back personal bests in her previous two races by 7 seconds each, had only run 4 steeple races, easily cruised to a qualifier in the semi and was the Mountain West champion who CRUSHED Prouse, just a little bit of research might've made the difference. Oh, and she was 4th indoors nationally in the 5K AND 4th overall at the NCAA XC meet. She should've been one of the favorites going in with Rainsberger and the BYU woman.
Great job Norris!!
wow amazing from Norris! she is quite short which must make these hurdles even harder.
How can you not root for Norris? Awesome!
