That was not a red card foul. That referee made a bad call. A yellow card foul but certainly not a red card foul. That referee should never referee a FIFA World Cup Football match again.

Where were all the whining WOKE complainers the last time Article 27 was used when Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo's red card was suspended? I think soccer is stupid as s**t in the first place and is about as interesting as watching paint dry or listening to nails on a chalkboard for a couple hours straight, with its "exciting" typical 1-0 final scores. (The comparison to the far more interesting and engaging game of American football would be that the rest of the world might as well have made kickball a major sport and then tried to tell us Americans that kickball is a better game than baseball–and I don't care WHERE any game resembling modern baseball may have actually originated way-back-when centuries ago; the fact is, we Americans are the ones who made it GREAT) but all of that aside, the Folarin Balogun foul looks like nothing more than incidental contact to me–and I've watched it over and over in slow motion.
I’m not even making a judgment as to whether or not I think the red card should have stuck, because I actually don’t give two s**ts enough about the game of soccer to even care. Soccer is a game that real men should have stopped playing around age 12. I understand kids liking it, but I'm actually embarrassed for adults the world over who think that soccer is all that and a bucket of chicken. The fact that so many people are enthralled with the game is a sad testimony as to just how deprived the rest of the world is of a sport that's actually INTERESTING.
Oh well, at least we all have the Olympics……
But anyway……my only real point here is that Folarin Balogun's "foul" looks like incidental contact that could happen to anyone out there on that field at any time.

Yea that’s just two players going for the ball. Unfortunately the American players foot landed in an awkward position but that’s just part of the game. 🤷♂️ but great acting by the other player 🏆
