After publicly declaring her intention to chase the women’s 800m world record, Audrey Werro lines up against an intense field for her attempt to break a 43-year-old world record. Werro ended up clocking a 1:53.80 in Paris, missing the record by 52 HUNDREDTHS of a second, but still giving her a World Lead, Diamond League Record, Meeting Record, Swiss National Record and European U23 Record. She now holds the third-fastest women’s 800m performance in history.
