The women’s steeplechase at the 2026 Lausanne Diamond League saw some of the best in the world battle it out on the track. Winfred Yavi and Faith Cherotich were neck in neck going into the bell lap, but Yavi had an impressive kick and final lap to pull away and secure the win. Yavi dropped a 9:00.04 for a new meet record, while Cherotich closed hard and finished a second behind in 9:01.90. 2025 NCAA steeplechase champion Doris Lemngole placed 4th (9:07.09), while Lexy Halladay led the U.S. contingent, running a new of PB for 5th in 9:08.35.
