Audrey Werro just closed out the 2026 season as the most feared 800m runner in the world. At the Diamond League Final in Brussels, the 22-year-old Swiss star took the women’s 800m title in 1:54.75, holding off Femke Bol by just six hundredths of a second and breaking the meeting record in the process. It was her second straight Diamond League crown and her sixth win in six Diamond League races this season. Femke Broeders-Bol threw everything at her off the final bend and still could not get past. In this video we break down the race lap by lap, the 600m split of 1:24.87, and why nobody in this event has an answer for the way Werro runs from the front.
