Josh Fulfer, who describes himself as an independent journalist, says he and his family were at the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) State Track and Field Championships Friday, May 30, protesting to show support for the biologically female athletes who were competing against a transgender athlete in this weekend’s events.
He described the protest he and his friends were apart of as a “family friendly” event and said there were no incidents reported — until he left. That’s when he captured video of a masked person carrying a transgender flag come up to his vehicle at an intersection and start beating Fulfer’s vehicle.
Fulfer says he pepper sprayed the individual to get them to stop.
That protester was later arrested by the Clovis Police Department. Fulfer spoke with FOX26 News to describe what happened. Listen to his full interview above.
