Aotearoa Track & Field News – 22 Dec 2021

It’s happened! The NZ women’s 100m national record has finally fallen!! In this episode we spend the first two of five news highlights discecting Zoe Hobbs’ incredible run and the three-year journey to this point since breaking her first NZ resident record way back in early 2019.

Plus, in the same race, Georgia Hulls and Livvy Wilson both ran PBs behind Zoe—climbing them up the all-time ranks. How good will our women’s 4x100m team be this summer!?!?

We also head to the PNorty Distance Project Invitational Road Mile (in Palmerston North) which was held in conjunction with the Manawatu Triathlon League. It was taken out by the incredibly fast closing Laura Nagel in the women’s and Zane Powell in the men’s. If you haven’t already, be sure to see the champagne celebrations our @runtempofit Instagram.

Finally, we catch up with the results from the annual Scottish Night of Miles.
