Hundreds of Area M Special Olympic athletes competed in their annual track and field event at Lower Dauphin County High School on Friday.

These athletes came from all over the Capitol region, including Cumberland, Dauphin, Perry and Northern York Counties.

Athletes ages 8 and up competed in the 50m dash, 50m walk, 100m dash, 100m walk, 200m dash, wheelchair races, running long jump, standing long jump, shot put, softball throw and turbo jav.
