Okay, we’re doing some time travel with this one … with the first two episodes done and dusted (scroll back through our archives to see 8 Dec and 16 Dec) I thought it was time to address one of the most exciting early-season weekends we’ve seen in years—especially for building anticipation up to the weekend we’ve just had!
The week ending 1 Dec 2021 included:
1. Georgia Hulls dropping PBs in the 100 and 200 (plus Livvy Wilson PBing, and Rosie Elliot and Anna Percy both posting FAST but wind aided 100m times).
2. Shay Veitch jumping further than he’s ever jumped before and almost running out of sandpit.
3. Colin Kirkpatrick claiming a team win and individual 10th place in the NCAA III cross country.
4. Olivia McTaggart opening up her season just 5cm shy of her PB, and off a shortened approach. Nick Southgate and James Steyn matched each other at 5m exactly.
5. Daniel Balchin and Rebecca Clark took out the annual Clyde to Alexandra 10k race.
