Behind every race at the Pan-American Masters Games in Cleveland is an inspiring story. 3News’ Matt Rascon shares a few of them.
The 2024 Pan-American Masters Games have come to Cleveland this summer, with athletes from more than 50 countries competing for medals in 24 sports and events taking place across Northeast Ohio over the next two weekends.
Featuring thousands of athletes above the age of 30, with some contestants as old as 100, organizers say this summer’s Pan-American Masters are expected to be the largest international gathering in Clevelandโs history.
The games promote friendly competition and “perseverance, vigor, health and vitality at any stage of life,” organizers state on the event’s website. All competitions are free to attend for spectators.
